When I am putting a lot of effort into the protein portion of the meal, I often go for the simplest sides possible. Here’s one of my favorites. I purchase a big bag of organic broccolette whenever I’m at Costco. They’re are great with breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
- Trim tips and place broccolettes in a glass baking dish, alternating the crowns, if needed for space.
- Add water and cover dish.
- Microwave on high for 3 minutes or until just tender.
- Drain, season with salt and pepper, and serve.
